LG has introduced a new model in its UltraGear gaming monitor line — the 45GX990A, featuring a flexible WOLED screen. This monitor is the world’s first device with adjustable curvature and the ability to switch between different resolution, refresh rate, diagonal, and aspect ratio settings. The 45GX990A will be showcased at CES 2025, where LG will also present other new products.
The monitor features a 45-inch display with an ultra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio, 5120×2160 pixels (5K2K) resolution, and an incredibly low response time of just 0.03 ms. The innovative technology allows users to choose between a flat screen and a curved display with a 900R curvature, providing the most comfortable viewing angle for various gaming and professional scenarios.
A standout feature of the 45GX990A is the Dual-Mode setting, which enables users to easily switch between different configurations, including resolution, refresh rate, and aspect ratio. This makes the monitor highly versatile, suitable for both gaming and professional use.
With this model, LG continues to advance the concept of flexible displays, first introduced in the Flex LX3 TV. Devices like this flexible monitor are becoming increasingly popular among manufacturers, including Corsair and TCL, showcasing the trend of user experience customization.
The LG UltraGear GX9 is set to become a key player in the gaming monitor market, offering gamers not only high-quality visuals but also flexibility in settings, ensuring a unique immersive experience.
