Applied Materials presented a new technology for the production of MAX OLED displays. It allows the creation of high-quality screens for a wide range of devices, including TVs.
The technology involves the use of new-generation glass substrates, which allows for larger and more economical OLED displays. In particular, it is stated that the new panels are up to three times brighter, have a resolution 2.5 times higher, and durability increases up to five times. In addition, energy consumption is reduced by more than 30%. All this in comparison with traditional OLED displays.
MAX OLED also reduces production costs and minimizes the harmful impact on the environment.
Leading display manufacturers, including Samsung Display, Visionox and Japan Display, are already implementing the new technology in their production.
The Chinese TCL has its own new development called IJP OLED, which also promises all sorts of improvements for the next-generation OLED screens.
