Midjourney has announced the release of V7, the first major update to its AI model since summer 2024.

In order for the AI ​​to adapt to your tastes, you will need to pass a test: evaluate 200 pictures. After that, the neural network will start generating images based on your preferences.

Some familiar Midjourney features, such as image enlargement and retexture, do not work in V7 yet — they will be added later.

The new version is available in Turbo (more expensive, but faster) and Relax modes. In addition, Draft Mode has appeared — it generates images 10 times faster and costs half as much as a regular render.

Before this, OpenAI also presented its AI editor — it went viral thanks to its fairy-tale Ghibli-style pictures. The demand was so high that the release for free users had to be postponed.
