All that is known about Samsung's "tricladushka" - a new form factor of foldable smartphones that will be shown alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7

๐Ÿ”บ Form factor: three screens, two hinges

The device will fold twice - into a Z-shape or an S-shape. This will provide:

  • Compact size when folded (about the size of a smartphone)
  • Maximum screen when unfolded - closer to a tablet in size and proportions.
  • Ability to use two internal screens and one external (rumored to be with Always-on Display)

๐Ÿ“ฑ Possible features

Technical details are being kept secret for now, but based on patents and leaks it's speculated:

  • Display: 7.8-8.5 inches unfolded, OLED
  • Hinges: dual mechanism, reinforced hinge unit with dust protection
  • Processor: Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 or Exynos 2500 (depending on region)
  • Camera: 4K telephoto lens module is likely.
  • Autonomy: two batteries distributed across the body, with support for ultra-fast charging

๐Ÿง  Interface

Samsung is adapting the One UI to a new usage scenario:

  • Support for multiwindow mode and three-pane display mode
  • Continuity and Drag & Drop functionality between screens
  • Automatic content orientation based on the body position

๐Ÿ” Business and Creativity

This form factor is especially suited for:

  • For work with documents, mail and calendars
  • For drawing and editing using the S Pen (support is likely)
  • For video editing, note taking and split-screen applications

๐Ÿ“… When to wait?

  • Announcement: July 9, 2025, Galaxy Unpacked (along with Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7)
  • Sales: October 2025, after full unveiling
  • Pre-Order: Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 will be available to order immediately after the event, possibly along with the Tricladushka in limited availability
