OnePlus has officially announced the launch date for its new smartwatch, the Watch 3. The announcement appeared on the brand’s U.S. website. The key highlight of the device is its increased battery life, lasting up to five days without charging.

When to expect it?

The OnePlus Watch 3 launch event will take place on February 18 at 16:00 Moscow time. It is still unclear whether the event will be streamed online, but the brand promises to reveal all details on that day.

What's new?

The third generation of OnePlus smartwatches will feature enhanced battery life, thanks to a 631 mAh Silicon NanoStack battery, which is 25% larger than its predecessor. As a result, the device's battery life will increase from 100 to 120 hours.

However, to achieve these results, users will need to disable the Always-On Display (AOD) feature and use the default health tracking settings. In power-saving mode, the watch can last up to 16 days.

Hardware and software

• Processor: The main chipset remains the same—Qualcomm Snapdragon W5, but a new energy-efficient BES2800 chipset has been added.
• Operating system: The OnePlus Watch 3 will run on Wear OS.

Design and materials

The new generation of smartwatches will feature a redesigned look. The case is made of titanium alloy, and the display is protected by Sapphire Crystal glass. Two color options will be available:
