iOS 18.2 will add new camera control features for the iPhone 16
The new beta version of iOS 18.2 has a long-awaited feature for locking focus and exposure via Camera Control, a dedicated camera control button introduced with the smartphone in September.
How does it work? After activating the feature in the camera settings, the user just needs to lightly press and hold the Camera Control button to lock the current focus and exposure settings. The settings will remain unchanged until the finger is removed from the button. Interestingly, Apple demonstrated this feature back at the iPhone 16 presentation, but then said that the feature would appear in future updates
iOS 18.2 will be a major update that will bring many new features related to Apple Intelligence: Genmoji, Image Playground, ChatGPT integration, and Visual Intelligence for iPhone 16 models. The update will also expand the availability of Apple Intelligence in more countries.
According to Apple, the final version of iOS 18.2 will be released in December. For now, the beta version is only available to developers.
