Jaguar officially unveiled the Type 00 concept car
Jaguar has unveiled the Type 00 concept car, which will serve as the basis for the company's first production car after its rebranding. The presentation took place at the Miami Art Week, where the concept was shown in Miami Pink and London Blue colors.
The renders that appeared earlier were accurate: the Jaguar Type 00 is a two-door coupe with 23-inch wheels, a long hood that transitions into a low roof and a fastback rear profile with no rear window.
According to Jerry McGovern, Jaguar's creative director, this concept marks a new step in the direction set by the E-Type and XJS models.
Inside the Type 00, there is an oval-shaped steering wheel, three brass rods passing through the cabin, a stone pedestal separating the seats, and a display positioned along the windshield. The doors are butterfly-style.
This concept is a preliminary design for the first serial electric four-door GT-class car of the new generation, which is set to be revealed at the end of 2025.
The car will be based on the new JEA (Jaguar Electric Architecture) platform, details of which are still scarce. However, some specifications are known: around 1000 horsepower, a range of 770 km on a single charge (WLTP cycle), and 320 km of range can be added in just 15 minutes at a charging station.
The estimated price of the new Jaguar is expected to start at £120,000 (~60.6 million AMD), with the market launch expected in the first half of 2026.
